he Return to Silent Hill he’s locked up his James and is ready to start filming. Christophe Gans’ follow-up to his 2006 film is slated to begin filming next month, via deadline.

Konami revealed a tone of Silent Hill news in his special presentation last October. While there were plenty of games, there was also confirmation that Gans would be directing again. Return to Silent Hilla 2006 sequel Silent Hill.

The sequel seems to be based on the game. silent hill 2with Jeremy Irvine (it was horse) cast as James. After being separated from his one true love played by puzzle‘s Hannah Emily Anderson, will head to Silent Hill in search of her. Of course, things don’t really go as planned from then on. Deadline’s report doesn’t specify, but I’m guessing “One True Love” will see Anderson playing both Mary and Maria.

While there was a 2006 follow-up Silent Hill released in 2012, subtitled revelation, this new sequel marks Gans’ return to the film series. Victor Hadida is producing, under Davis Films, along with Molly Hassell and David Wulf of Hassell Free Products.

According to Hadida (via Deadline), he and Gans have been working closely with Konami to create a version of Silent Hill “for today’s theatrical public”. There will be “iconic” monsters, along with new skins.

After a rather long silence in the series, Silent Hill he’s really back in action. Announcements last October locked up a host of new productions along with Return to Silent Hill. Bloober Team is currently working on a new version of silent hill 2and two third-party studios are getting their own stabs at the series.

No Code and Annapurna are working on Silent Hill: City Fallwhile NeoBards Entertainment is working on silent hill nset in 1960s Japan with umineko author Ryukishi07 on board. There is a lot of Silent Hill in the store, which still feels really weird to say.
